Well, today has been a typical Monday!  Crazy and kind of wild.  We are still seeing people from the storms.  One elderly couple came in today and they had lost everything–including all the documents needed to file their tax returns.  They didn’t know where to turn so they came to us.  We spent part of the day making calls, based on what income we knew they typically have, to get duplicates of their documents.  The elderly are the ones that break my heart the most.  Some of them have been in these homes since early in their marriage and to go to a new home—–which might excite some of us—is just devastating to them.  Not just material things—but the memories, so many years worth of memories, attached to those things.  It’s really like a big part of their lives were blown away.  Hard to start a week with this sadness.  But, tomorrow we do it all again. 🙂

………but how kind of you to work on that for them. Most places would not extend that courtesy of helping, they would just provide their normal service of preparing a tax return. You gave them help, love and an open ear. Thank you.

Ditto – I’m so grateful for people like you in the community helping those who have lost so much. For Danny’s mom, I don’t think it’s so much the loss of a “house” but the loss of the home and memories she built with Ronnie. I hope that it can be salvaged!

Customer Service is so important. It is wonderful to have you two in business for the community, extending a helping hand to those who need it. I know you were blessed helping them, but you certainly blessed them with your kindness as well!
