Slow Sunday

9 Dec

If you are a regular church attendee and something happens and you miss Sunday morning, it’s like, the earth has shifted from its axis or something.  Today we missed—-overslept.  Its a weird, out of sorts feeling,  not to mention the fact that the weather is REALLY gloomy today.   Rain—thunder—-dark and cloudy.  Not conducive to holiday cheer.  So……..I had to get out of the house and go for a ride.  A Walmart trip!!!!

So much life change in our household.  Andrew just left to go back to college.  I still haven’t gotten used to that, but at least I don’t cry anymore.  He is having his first finals week.  One of the things he had to accomplish was building a steam engine—–and demonstrate it.  That’s his final in one of his engineering classes.  He did a really good job (not that I know a lot about that stuff, but younger brother does and he said he did a good job).    Nick took the ACT for the second time yesterday.  He is shooting for a 28—-we’ll see.   If he isn’t satisfied he can still take it again in the spring.

Time to order cap and gown for graduation—–get senior pictures scheduled (I like to do them as close to the end of the year as possible so they really do look like seniors).  I can’t believe I have another child graduating.  I don’t know HOW I will go through all that again, this last year, the emotion, and all that was a lot.  Oh well, God will make a way.

Time to go.  Christmas program tonight.  Time to put the earth back on its axis—then gear up for another exciting Monday.

    You ROCK!

Putting the earth back on it’s axis, and all that! That is some serious SuperWoman skill. 😀

Great you got some much needed rest! See you soon, friend!
