It was a very relaxing day...he worked all day, but the rain was much needed! The kids are walking through the house about it being the "best day EVER! I LOVE this holiday! It's the best...Christmas, Easter, and 4th of July!" The hub is insisting they include Thanksgiving, but they disagree...apparently it just doesn't cut it with no fireworks or candy. we had all the hub’s clan here for a simple meal, then off to see the fireworks locally. My brother for years now has led a life of one bad choice after another. We haven't spoken for months. He's on his fourth marriage now with some stepchildren in the mix. I just can't bring myself to rekindle a relationship with him. We didn't have a falling out or anything and I don't feel like I'm not forgiving him, but then I'm so disappointed with the choices he's made that I just feel like I need to distance myself and my kids. I recently sent him some photos and let him know that I still love him and pray for him often. Yet, I'm not sure if I'm doing enough. I'm not sure what to do at all.
