Another treasure that I couldn’t help but share.  I hope that all our prayers will be Lord change me!  There are so many areas in my life that I need to be changed in, but I know that in myself I cannot do it.  I need the Holy Spirit to do His transforming work—-even when [...]

Shamelessly begging…..

for you to pray for my dear friend.  She began her chemo the second week of this month and of course the side effects have begun.  I know she can make it through this, but she needs every drop of strength she can get from the prayers of the saints.  The following is an email [...]

Senior recognition today

Once again my heart breaks and soars at the same time.  Graduation—the end of one leg of a journey—the beginning of another.  A rite of passage.  The official point of departure from childhood into adulthood.  A new adventure.  Our last to move on—so closely after the first.
This afternoon, the two brothers took on the challenge of taking apart [...]

Pray for Christy

Well, I’ve been asking for prayer for my friend Christy (she is in her third occurence of colon cancer).  Just spoke with Nancy the OM and here’s the plan.  Tomorrow Christy will get her port in–that way, not so many bad needle sticks.  This is the beginning of 5 1/2 weeks of chemo and radiation.  [...]

Need prayer intervention

This is my dear friend and colleage, Christy.  Christy was diagnosed a little over 6 years ago with colon cancer.  She had one colon surgery and full course of chemo.  She was totally sick during the chemo.  About a year later, there was a second occurance of the cancer and she had more colon removed, [...]

call to pray……..and even more

This is to all who are ready to stand in the gap.  Ch Gb is still very, very sick.  I just spoke with her and she sounded even worse.  She had a bad night last night, with her oxygen level dropping to 80 after walking just to the nurses station.  She said they have done xrays and [...]

Need prayer support girls.  Hubbie has just gone to the hospital.  They are expecting his grandmother to pass away.  With all that has happened with his family, I am concerned this will push his mom over the edge.  Please remember them.

Wonderful devotional

I received this email devotional and  todays was particularly good so I wanted to post it–especially since we are going to be starting the study on prayer.  I love this story.  Hope you enjoy.
We were the first ones to come upon the accident. My quick thinking husband, always good in an emergency, calmly took charge [...]

Christmas Eve

It’s Christmas Eve morning and here I sit writing on my blog.  Presents all wrapped, food ready to take to in-laws and all my guys have gone to the gym to work out. Last night after church we watched The Nativity.  It is such a beautiful movie.  We saw it in the theater last Christmas [...]

God’s Word for me today…..

Do not be anxious about anything, but in EVERYTHING, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God.  And the Peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phillippians 4:67
This season of life ( really every season of life) offers so much to be anxious [...]

Selah…..for real.

Well, we hear about it, we know it happens, but we never believe it will happen to US or anyone WE know.  But this week, many of us waited, hopeful, praying, believing, –for a dear sister to hear the ominous news that her biopsy revealed breast cancer—–my dear 30 something sister.   The news had me stunned for [...]

–A moment to remember—–

Today is the 6th anniversary of the tragedy of the World Trade Center.  My heart still grieves on account of this horrendous event. I pray that even though we forgive, we never forget.  May God be with the families on this day.

Birthday Girl!!!

Sorry it took me so long to post this picture.  Celebration time.  It is so good to celebrate life!  On this planet, we tend to do this on an annual basis (at least until the number reaches a certain point).  But, since every day is a gift, I want to become better at  celebrating life on [...]

2 Chronicles 20:12

“For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You” (2 Chronicles 20:12).
This verse is from my daily devotion and it has spoken so me today.
It seems as though we have enemies, both spiritual and natural, that attack [...]

Please Pray.

Sisters:
Just wanted to ask and remind you to pray for our little old folks (even the “not-so-old” folks ) in this excessive heat.  I know that even though they generally are staying inside, any venture outdoors in this heat really zaps them.  Also, lets join together and pray for some relief for the high temps.  [...]
